11:11 Successfully Funded on Kickstarter!
Forgive me for not posting this earlier, but I suppose the excitement took over my brain and I completely forget to post this after the Kickstarter fundraiser successfully ended a few days ago!
I am overjoyed with the wealth of generosity of each and every backer who contributed to "11:11" and to the those who helped spread the word! According to Facebook,1,800 people shared the link to this page! That is just Facebook alone...what did we do before the internet and social networks? Connecting as many people to this project was the mission behind this FUNdraising campaign and I'm blown away by the outcome...
As of 11:11pm EST New Year's Day, "11:11" EXCEEDED it's goal by 8%! A whopping $12,075.07 was raised; almost $1,000 more than the original goal (not including private donations)!!! This is an amazing accomplishment! Making a feature film is not an inexpensive venture and funding is challenging to find. Now, not only do we have the foundation funding to begin pre-production because of YOU, we also have proof of solid support from 183 pledgers...making this project more intriguing to future investors. We hope to raise 4x the money we have, so we can truly make the movie the way we want and to pay the crew reasonable rates! We will likely do further crowd funding pushes for production and post and are currently seeking investors to match what we've raised on Kickstarter. Private donations via Kissin' Cousins Productions are being accepted for those of you who missed the deadline as well. Send me a message if you would like further information.
