*After serving his country, Andy went to college where he met his wife, Adrienne. They graduated the same year and just as she
was about to leave for graduate school in France, they discovered she was pregnant. She gave up her dream and they moved to
the small, industrial hometown he tried his whole life to leave because that's where he could find work.
*Present day, Andy and his wife's marriage is strained. They lack communication skills; Adrienne often yells at him in French,
which makes him crazy because he doesn't understand what she's saying. He feels isolated, so he goes out drinking and sleeps
on the couch nightly.
*Andy's son, Drew, is now 13 and filled with angst; he tunes out his parents with headphones. He also has a 4 year old daughter
and a dog; the only family members who give him any attention.
MARK ELLIOTT (18, 21) - [Must know how to play the Drums or learn quickly!]
*Male, Brown Shaggy Hair, Unfit, Rugged, Visibly Unhappy and Tired (Insomniac)
*Was once very happy and in love with his Soul Mate, Lili Kelley, until she suddenly passed away. Mark blames himself for her
death because they had an argument just before she died. Guilt ridden and not over his ex-girlfriend, he's become a Stoner to
numb the pain.
*Mark's Dad was an alcoholic who abandoned his Mother when he was 13, forcing him to grow up quickly. He's cynical and
works as a Gas Station attendant and mechanic. His boss has become his Stepfather, which he's not happy about. Mark will
soon be a big brother.
*He plays Drums in the band Wednesday with his closest friend, Jake O'Malley. Music gives him an outlet for his frustration. He
also likes to drive to clear his head.
*Mark is still friends with Maggie Kelley, but has difficulty even looking at her because she appears just like Lili. He has a hard
time communicating or getting close enough to anyone due to his fear of losing them... until he meets a Female Outsider and
begins to open up.
